There are many things in life that bring us joy – family, friends, successful careers, scoring the hottest ticket in town to hear your favorite band. But, right up there is knowing that something you did, purchased, or even the check you wrote, made life a little bit better and easier for someone who really needed your help. Giving is a remarkable thing and gosh, if feels good. That’s the feeling at C&A.
C&A employees weigh-in for contest
C&A Industries kicked off its annual Weigh-to-Goal weight loss contest in January. Nearly one-quarter of C&A’s workforce is participating with weigh-ins weekly and a prize drawing at the end of the 12 and 18-week competition tracks.

C&A Recognizes Employees for Years of Service
C&A recognized 27 employees for their years of service at a special luncheon on November 1st. Of these outstanding team members, 18 have been with C&A for 5 years and 9 for 10 years!
C&A Salutes the Heroes of 9/11
Most all of us vividly remember just where we were 10 years ago. As we pause to reflect on the events of that horrific day, we honor those whose lives were lost and extend our deepest gratitude to those who bravely stepped into action to help others. We salute the heroes of 9/11.
C&A Farmer’s Market in Full Swing
C&A’s Farmer’s Market is in full swing. We’re half way through our eight-week venture in conjunction with Partners for a Healthy City and several other companies in our business park. Our employees love having fresh fruits and vegetables available just steps from our front door. Watch for a future blog about it!

C&A Enters Winning Design for NAMI Walk
Congrats to the C&A NAMI Walk Team for their winning t-shirt design for the 2011 Nebraska NAMI Walk (National Alliance on Mental Illness)! The design will now be entered into NAMI’s national contest!
Take me out to the ball game!
The College World Series has become a tradition at C&A. As in past years, C&A hosted a fun-filled family event at the ballpark on June 17th, the night of the CWS Opening Ceremonies. It’s a celebration we look forward to every year – a time for us to come together outside of the workplace and be a part of the excitement that is “America’s pastime”, baseball.
