Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the most incredible of them all? You most certainly are! A survey of adults by the American Psychological Association discovered that the most important factor to happiness and well-being is self-esteem.
Last year, I arrived for my interview at C&A Industries 45 minutes early, worried that my car would spontaneously break down or I’d be delayed by Omaha’s bustling mid-afternoon traffic. Aiming for, “Wow, she’s prompt and responsible!” rather than, “Is that girl still sitting in the lobby?”
The few weeks before Christmas are my favorite time of year. I love that people are full of cheer, the city is beautifully lit, and classic songs and movies play around the clock. Best of all is the atmosphere of giving and spirit of service.

I recently attended a friend’s outdoor wedding. Maybe it was the heat or my hunger I’d saved up for the free reception dinner that got to me, but as soon as I sat down at the ceremony, I snobbishly began insulting the whole affair.
Once we announced Zumba classes were coming to C&A, it didn't take long for registration to fill up. 40 employees registered for an eight-week Zumba program that is held Thursday evenings at the corporate office.
What a wonderful event we had on Saturday at the Holland Performing Arts Center! We can’t think of a better way to have celebrated 45 Years along with the tremendous successes of our employees and of our entire organization.
An intern’s life at many companies around the country probably consists of pretty boring, useless tasks that may include grabbing coffee for a boss or filing papers all day.
