While the holiday season is a festive and joy-filled time for many, we know that’s not the case for all. We have a long-standing tradition of giving at C&A that is especially impactful at this time of year.
Annually, during the months of November and December, C&A employees participate in our holiday outreach program, AurElves. Employees join together as teams and departments to volunteer, adopt families, hold charitable events, serve meals, visit nursing homes, stuff backpacks for youth, contribute necessities, and purchase holiday gifts. Many also take on projects individually and get their own families involved.
C&A connects with a wide variety of organizations to determine specific needs and pair employees with opportunities that best fit their area of interest. Examples of our involvement includes Youth Emergency Services, Nebraska Children’s Home Society, Food Bank for the Heartland, Salvation Army, Angels Among Us, Project Harmony, Open Door Mission, Hope Center, Project Everlast, Visiting Nurses Association, Lydia House, Children’s Respite Care Center, and Bethlehem House, among many others.
